Back to School

I finally got a small corner of a table cleared off to do some creating. First time in a week and a half! It felt so good...therapeutic even. Anyhow, next week is back to school and I wanted to make something for the team I work with, so when I saw this adorable idea in this months Creating Keepsakes magazine - I had to try it. It is so fast and simple! All you do is take a 3 1/2" X 4 1/2" piece of cardstock (in this case I used CTMH Honey) and score it every half inch, lengthwise. Then you wrap it around a tube of Rolos. Add a pink circle at the top and wrap a 3/8" X 3 1/2" strip of pink around the top to create the eraser. Then take a strip of 3/8" X 3 1/2" strip of foil to create the metal band to hide the seam where the yellow and pink cardstock meet. Add a Hersheys kiss to the bottom to create the pencil point. Embellish as you wish. Not only is it adorable, but tasty too!

  1. Saw your post on the CTMH BB, and just had to check out your blog too. This is one of the most adorable and creative things I have ever seen! You did a fabulous job creating your pencil. Now I'm going to have to buy some Rolos. :)
